Last Updated: February 28, 2025
1. Program Description
Project Whitetail is an SMS messaging program operated by Nine Minute Mile that provides group running coordination services. By participating in this program, you will receive text messages related to:
- Group running event notifications and updates
- Event attendance confirmations and reminders
- Participant status updates for events you're attending
- Account management and service notifications
This service is designed to help running groups coordinate activities through simple text messaging, making it easy to stay connected with your running community.
2. Opt-Out Instructions
You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the number from which you received messages. After you send the SMS message "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.
If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
Alternative opt-out keywords: You can also text STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to opt out of the service.
3. Help Instructions
If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, you can reply with the keyword "HELP" for more assistance, or you can get help directly at help@southofthethruway.com.
Alternative help keywords: You can also text INFO or SUPPORT to receive help information.
When you text HELP, you will receive a message with program information, customer care contact details, and links to our Terms and Privacy Policy.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies depending on your participation in group running events and activities. You may receive:
- Event notifications when new runs are scheduled
- Attendance updates when participants respond to events
- Reminders before scheduled events
- Confirmation messages for your actions (signup, opt-in, updates)
The number of messages you receive will depend on how active your running group is and which events you choose to participate in. You will not receive marketing or promotional messages unrelated to group running coordination.
5. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. The number of messages you receive will vary based on your participation in group running events.
If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider. Standard messaging rates from your mobile carrier will apply to all SMS messages sent and received as part of this service.
6. Carrier Liability
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
While we strive to deliver all messages promptly and reliably, message delivery depends on your mobile carrier's network. Factors that may affect message delivery include:
- Network congestion or outages
- Device compatibility or settings
- Geographic location and signal strength
- Carrier-specific filtering or blocking
We are not responsible for messages that are delayed, blocked, or undelivered due to carrier network issues or device limitations.
